Peter the Great Museum of Anthropology and Ethnography (the Kunstkamera)

The Kunstkamera at St. Petersburg, Russia, is celebrating its 295th anniversary this year. It possesses one of the richest ethnographical collections in the world. 

For me it has an awesome collection of North American indigenous peoples costumes and artifacts. It's one of the best that I have ever seen!


Aleuts, the indigenous people of the Aleutian Islands, were enslaved first by Russians then Americans for their great hunting skills at sea.
